The Big Plastic Count
I lead the creative strategy, campaign direction and community building for The Big Plastic Count – the UK’s largest citizen science project focused on plastic waste. My role sits at the intersection of grassroots organising, participatory research and bold, human storytelling that helps shift narratives around climate justice, the plastics crisis and systems change.
I steward the campaign’s creative vision and values, shaping its visual identity, messaging and storytelling while embedding inclusion, accessibility and community agency across all communications. A core part of my work involves co-creating participatory research frameworks that centre lived experience, and building long-term relationships with diverse Delivery Partners and Advisory Groups across the UK.
I translate research findings and community insight into public-facing campaigns that hold power to account and push for meaningful policy change. At the heart of this work is a commitment to creativity as a tool for justice – and to ensuring that the people most affected by the plastics crisis are shaping both the questions we ask and the solutions we fight for.
